Rules

BeTheHero is a public visibility leaderboard. Rank is determined purely by your bid. Here's exactly how it works.

1How ranking works

  • New listings start at a minimum bid of $1.
  • Every new bid must be at least $1 higher than the current highest bid on the leaderboard.
  • The highest successful bid receives the #1 position and maximum visibility.
  • Only successful, confirmed payments affect ranking.
  • In the event of an exact tie, the earlier successful payment wins — the older bid keeps the higher rank.
  • Refunded bids no longer count toward active ranking — the next highest paid bid takes that position.

2Getting more visibility

  • Higher rank = more exposure. The top listings receive the most clicks and views.
  • To increase your rank, re-submit the same URL with a higher bid.
  • There is no maximum bid — compete as high as you want.
  • Each unique URL has one listing. Multiple bids stack on the same listing.

3One URL, one listing

  • Each unique website URL may only have one listing on the leaderboard.
  • Variations of the same URL (http, https, www, trailing slash) are treated as identical.
  • Tracking and affiliate query parameters are stripped from URLs.
  • To increase your bid, submit the same URL again with a higher amount.

4What you can list

  • A product website, startup landing page, app, tool, portfolio, or creator page.
  • Chat and invite links are not allowed — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, etc.
  • Links to adult, NSFW, or sexually explicit content are not allowed.
  • Illegal, fraudulent, phishing, scam, or malicious websites are not allowed.
  • Platform administrators may remove or suspend prohibited listings at their discretion.

5Payments & impact

  • Payment is processed through Dodo Payments. All bids are in USD.
  • A completed payment is what claims and confirms your rank.
  • 10% of every successfully completed payment is automatically allocated to verified charitable causes.
  • If a payment is refunded, its associated impact allocation is reversed.
  • Impact allocations are tracked transparently as Allocated → Committed → Distributed.
